If you want to make your Easter egg hunt more eco-friendly, you have several options. First, you can hide your naturally dyed Easter eggs. Once everyone finds all the eggs, use them to make egg salads or sandwiches. Don’t forget you can also compost your eggshells.

Wooden eggs are another eco-friendly option for your Easter egg hunt. You can buy solid wood eggs that everyone can decorate. You can also get hollow wood eggs that everyone can decorate and have room inside to hold a special treat.
Lastly, you can reuse card or paper to make decorated eggs to hide anywhere, even pinned to fences or stuck to windows.

Dye Easter Eggs With Natural Dye

Dyeing Easter eggs is a fun tradition, especially with the kids. It’s great fun to try out different techniques to see what colours and designs you can create. However artificial food dyes used to colour Easter eggs are chemical substances.
If you want to dye Easter eggs but you’re looking for a more eco-friendly way to do it, you have another option. You can easily make natural dye from things like flower petals and red onion skins. Simply wrap around the egg and pop them in your pan while boiling. 

Eco Friendly Easter Chocolate

Yes, chocolate bunnies are cute and the Easter eggs all come in packaging kids want or with a toy they're desperate to own. But think about how those chocolate bunnies and eggs come packaged. Most come in a foil wrapper, that’s inside a box, that’s wrapped in plastic. That’s a lot of waste for one piece of chocolate.
However, you don’t have to skip giving out chocolate to celebrate an eco-friendly Easter. Instead, just choose a Fair Trade Certified chocolate brand, which makes sure cocoa farmers have safe and environmentally friendly working conditions and are paid fairly.
