Introducing Eco Friendly Brand - UpCircle
Eco Friendly Beauty Brand - UpCircle
Eco friendly skin care brand, UpCircle is a firm favourite with our customers (and us) for eco beauty and it's easy to see why.
Suddenly realising that if they were throwing away one cafetière of coffee grounds a day, coffee shops must be disposing of tonnes, siblings Will and Anna decided to do something about it.
Beginning with collecting just from one coffee shop but quickly progressing to 100's of coffee houses across London, they had the genius idea of taking those coffee grounds and repurposing them, giving them a new life and so UpCircle was born.
Using these coffee grounds, they now produce some of the best eco friendly skincare products on the market including face scrubs, body scrubs, soaps, moisturisers and much more, we'll get to that.
What started as coffee grounds soon became other 'waste' items otherwise destined for landfill such as chai spices and fruit stones. All of these repurposed components are combined with other natural ingredients and essential oils to create skincare that is as good for us as it is for the environment.
Take upcycling and the circular economy and you get UpCircle, these guys are pioneering the way when it comes to repurposing and leaving the world a better place than we found it.
The beauty industry is traditionally a pretty wasteful industry and UpCircle is one of the brands doing all they can to remedy this. From the ingredients to the packaging UpCircle are a true eco friendly beauty brand.
Their packaging is 99% plastic free (with the 1% being recyclable or offering refill options) recyclable and they only use paper tape which is made from recycled fibres.
